About Us
Mission Statement

Our mission is to achieve epic success while providing legendary service to our clients.

Our Beginnings

The Wilber Law Firm began in 1964 as a sole, general practice, representing people in central Illinois. Over the years, the firm began to concentrate its efforts on consumer and commercial debt collection services.

By 1995, the firm recognized a large unmet need in the subrogation area. The subrogation recovery rate needed vast improvement in the companies we serve. Although inside and outside attorneys working for these companies handled and recovered the larger claims, efforts to collect smaller claims were often too expensive.

The Wilber Law Firm realized that combining the style of a debt collection agency with the clout of a law firm would make it economically possible to recover millions of dollars in smaller claims. The firm effectively combines efficient debt collection software with a firm, responsible approach towards debtors and applies the power of the law.

Companies can now cost effectively outsource their smaller subrogation claims.

Our firm works on a contingent fee basis. You will pay nothing unless the claim is recovered. We handle small cases with contested liability, freeing up talent in your company to concentrate on other matters. Because some recoveries are handled through arbitration, the firm writes arbitration contentions for its clients. Our ability to write “arbs” is so widely regarded that many clients now request them as a separate service.

National Association of Subrogation Professionals

We are proud to be one of the charter members of The National Association of Subrogation Professionals. NASP was created out of a need. NASP is a non-profit trade association of insurance company subrogation specialists, attorneys practicing in the field of insurance subrogation and vendors serving the subrogation needs of the insurance industry.

One of the highest priorities of NASP is to create educational opportunities for members in order to enhance the members' knowledge and skills in the area of Subrogation. Their annual conference and magazine, the Subrogator, focuses on enhancing that knowledge and providing education for members.

Anyone interested in receiving a membership packet and / or attending a conference may contact the association at:
